LATEST SHIPMENT FOR FORSYTHS

28 August 2006   A Moray design and manufacturing firm has successfully shipped its 20th flexi riser reel this year in a double shipment to Europe.

Forsyths – headquartered in Rothes – loaded out five large reels from its dockside facility in Buckie to NKT (Cables) in Denmark, the second such shipment this year.

The reels, weighing 50 tonnes each and measuring 9.2 metres in diameter, were shipped in two separate journeys to the Danish firm’s Kronenburg location.

Forsyths’ managing director Richard Forsyth said: “We have established ourselves as a leading player in the design and manufacture of large diameter reels for the storage and installation of subsea cables, umbilicals and flexi-riser systems.
