MORAY FIRM HOSTS STAND AT KENTUCKY TRADE EVENT
24 April 2007 A Moray design and manufacturing firm recently took part in an international distilling trade show in Kentucky, USA.
Forsyths, which is headquartered in Rothes, was the only representative from Europe when it hosted a stand at the American Distilling Institute’s fourth annual conference, which featured rum distilling.
Focusing on the art of pot distilling, the spirits industry and pot distillation, the conference was attended by dozens of companies from the USA, Canada and South America.
Senior design engineer Derek Johnston and managing director designate, Richard E Forsyth, represented the firm at the event, which took place at the end of March.
The firm is a world leader in the design, manufacturing and servicing of pot and column distillation plants in copper and stainless steel.
Forsyths representatives have attended the annual event since its inception four years ago.
Richard Forsyth, chairman of Forsyths, said: “The American Distilling Institute conference is an extremely important event for us, as it not only gives us the chance to network with key figures from within the industry, but also allows us to showcase our latest products and services.
“To be the only representative from overseas is also a significant achievement for us, and one that we feel consolidates our position as world market leaders in the distillation sector.”
Forsyths designs and manufactures products for blue chip, distillation, petrochemical, brewing and offshore oil and gas clients across the globe.
As well as its Rothes headquarters, the firm has two manufacturing facilities at Buckie. Grants (Dufftown) Ltd and Forblast Ltd are also both part of the Forsyth group of companies.
